Summer Camps 2024

A 50% deposit of the total camp fee is required to hold your spot, with the balance due 1-week before the first day of camp. If you do not pay the deposit at time of registration we will process the card on file within one week of your registration to guarantee your spot. If you decide to withdraw from camp, you must notify us in writing 1-week before the camp starts to have your deposit refunded. Camp registration closes 1-week before the start of camp unless the camp fills before then. 


Aerial & Acro Intensive - 6/24th - 6/28th

Ages 9+

9:00-12:00 The beginner session of the Aerial & Acro Intensive is for any current SCD student with an aerial level of 1 or above. If you are not a current SCD student, you should have at least 1 year of consistent aerial training and be at least 9 years old.

1:00-4:00 The intermediate session of the Aerial & Acro Intensive is for any current SCD student with an aerial level of 3 or above. If you are not a current SCD student, you should have at least 4 years of consistent aerial training.

Cost: $215

Explore the beauty and challenge of fabric, lyra, sling, and trapeze, along with acrobatic skills like rolls, handstands, backbends, and walkovers! This intensive is for students who wish to explore the exciting genre of aerial arts and acrobatics, this five-day intensive focuses on the artistry, technique, vocabulary, safety, and the unique structure of aerial and acro dance. Appropriate dance/movement attire required no exposed midriffs. NO JEWELRY OF ANY KIND WILL BE PERMITTED. The final class will have a scheduled time for students to take photos and videos of the skills they have learned.

Little Flyers & Tumblers Intensive - June 25th to June 27th

Ages 7-11 y.o. 

4:30-6:00 pm 

Cost: $80

Does your child love to climb and tumble around? Join us for three evenings of aerial and acro! This intensive is for students ages 7 to 11 who were enrolled in Little Flyers or Lil' Tumblers for the past dance year. Or students who are new to Aerial and Acro. This intensive will focus on various aerial apparatuses and work on basic acro techniques such as handstands, bridges, and flexibility.

Dress Code: All students must wear a leotard or tight-fitting full-length shirt and leggings or fitted pants, convertible tights and shorts are also fine. We do not recommend attending class with bare legs. No loose clothing and no jewelry of any kind will be allowed for the safety of the dancer and the equipment. No socks, shoes, or foot undies, no long nails and avoid lotion before class.


Beauty & the Beat - July 8th to 12th

Ages 7 to 10 

9 am to 12:15 pm - Mindfulness, Tap, Craft, Jazz, Hip Hop

12:45 pm to 4 pm - Ballet, Drama/Team Building, Movie, Modern/Contemporary

$165/$285 (half-day/full-day)

Beauty & the Beat is our beginner to intermediate camp for ages 7 to 10. You can take it as a full-day camp from 9 to 4 or a half-day either 9:00-12:15p or 12:45-4:00p. Beauty & the Beat offers up many styles of dance over the week. Please make note of which styles are studied during the morning and afternoon sessions. The camp is an excellent way for students to try many styles in a fun and supportive environment! At the end of the week, we will have a little showing of all the dances they have learned during the week. On top of learning dance skills, there will be craft and movie time during the day. Lunch and snacks are not provided; dancers must pack their own.

Dance shoes needed: ballet slippers, tap shoes, clean sneakers for hip hop, and jazz shoes if you have them (students can wear ballet slippers for jazz class)

Tween Dance Intensive - July 29th to August 1st

Ages 10+

9 am - 4 pm

Monday/Wednesday - Tap, Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe/Pre-Pointe, Lyrical, Flexibility 

Tuesday/Thursday - Musical Theatre, Leaps & Turns, Pilates, Contemporary Ballet, Modern/Contemporary, Choreography Creation

$120/$200 (two days/four days)

The 4-Day Tween Intensive is our camp geared towards intermediate to advanced dancers with at least 3 years of training looking to intensively work on their skills and techniques. Our professionally trained staff will work with your dancer in jazz, tap, modern, hip-hop, musical theatre, lyrical, contemporary, and ballet. We will also work on creating choreography, conditioning, and flexibility for dance. Lunch and snacks are not provided; dancers must pack their own.

Dance Stars Camp – August 5th to 9th

Ages 4 to 6 

9 am – 12 pm

Dance Stars is our half-day summer camp geared towards children ages 4 to 6. This is a great way to learn about the art of dance, body awareness, music skills, and rhythm. Along with dance, the children will discover these skills by playing movement games and creating crafts. Register today!

Nutcracker Boot Camp – August 12th to 15th

Ages 7+ 

9 am - 4 pm

Every December, Sole City Dance presents a professional Nutcracker performance. We have created this boot camp to help dust the summer cobwebs off and get you ready for auditions on Saturday, September 14th. This camp will not only focus on ballet technique and different Nutcracker variations, but we will also talk about how to overcome performance anxiety, audition warm-up, audition etiquette, nutrition, and diversity issues in ballet. We will run a mock audition with all participants along with feedback.
