The Nutcracker

Tchaikovsky’s glittering ballet of Clara and her beloved Nutcracker is a delight, capturing the magic and wonder of the holiday season. Sole City Dance pulls out all the stops with elaborate sets, costumes, special effects and of course, outstanding dancers. A story full of charm and excitement with a captivating cast of characters to entertain young and old. Make it part of your holiday tradition!

Dates:  Friday, December 9 at 7:00 pm; Saturday, December 10 at 2:00 and 7:00 pm

Venue:  Rochester Opera House

Reserved Seating:  Adults $24, Students and Seniors $20

At this time, Nutcracker tickets are available only through the Rochester Opera House.  Click here for further information and to purchase tickets. 

At a later date, Nutcracker tickets will be available for purchase at Sole City Dance and through local merchants.

Nutcracker Express

A 50-minute abbreviated version of The Nutcracker for school groups and homeschool families. 

Friday, December 9 at 10:00 a.m. at the Rochester Opera House    All Seats:  $8

 Dance Rochester! Festival Performances

Dance Rochester! Festival shows.  Colorful, energetic and packed with variety, it’s Sole City Dance’s annual 2-day celebration showcasing over 75 dancers from companies and dance education centers around the region. Two performances showcase the talented young dancers:  the afternoon features junior companies and up-and-coming student choreographers while the evening features senior and professional companies along with special guests.  Fast-paced with great lighting and sound, enjoy the innovative and diverse choreography of the region’s finest young dancers.

Saturday, March 24 7:00 p.m.  Senior and Professional Companies

Annual Student Dance Concert

Join us for Sole City Dance’s annual all-student celebration of dance.  Whether they are three years old or three times that, SCD students display grace, talent, verve and a love of the art! A treat for family, friends and community, the concert gives students the opportunity to share with pride all they have learned throughout the year. Ages 3 and up will perform specially crafted choreography that is sure to be both touching and entertaining.
